The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has initiated a groundbreaking USD 3.9 billion power transmission and storage project aimed at enhancing the nation's energy infrastructure. This project encompasses the construction of a 1069-kilometer ultra-high-voltage power line, stretching from northern Shanxi province to the outskirts of Hefei. The transmission line will facilitate the transportation of renewable energy, primarily solar and wind, across three provinces while employing coal generators as backup sources.

Objectives of the Project
