Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the acquisition of an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract valued at USD 662 million from Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited. This contract entails the establishment of an 800 MW ultra-supercritical expansion unit at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant, with an estimated execution timeline of 57 months.
 

 

The scope of this comprehensive contract encompasses the supply of essential equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries, alongside electrical and control and instrumentation (C&I) components. Additionally, it involves the provision of balance-of-plant packages as well as erection, commissioning, and civil works.
