What is atomic layer deposition?
Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is an advanced thin-film deposition technique based on the sequential use of a gas-phase chemical process. It is a subclass of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and is known for its ability to produce highly uniform and conformal films with precise thickness control at the atomic level. ALD is used in a wide range of applications, including microelectronics, semiconductor manufacturing, optics, and energy storage.
