Apraava Energy has secured a new interstate transmission project in Madhya Pradesh through the government of India’s Tariff Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. The project entails the establishment of approximately 40 kilometers of 765 kV double circuit transmission lines along with a 3000 MVA substation. Apraava Energy will execute the project following the BOOT (build, own, operate, and transfer) model.
The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) transfer. Under the terms of the agreement, Apraava Energy will handle financing, development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance. Furthermore, the company will provide services for 35 years.
This marks Apraava Energy’s third transmission project win within the past year. According to Naveen Munjal, Director of Business Development and Commercial at Apraava Energy, "Given the impressive progress witnessed in Madhya Pradesh in recent years, the seamless transmission of power across all regions is paramount for sustaining and accelerating this growth."
The project aims to address the escalating power demands of the state. For more details about the upcoming and ongoing overhead transmission projects in Madhya Pradesh, check out our Indian overhead transmission projects database.
