NHPC Issues EPC Tender for 200 MW Solar Power Project in Gujarat

NHPC has invited bids for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for a 200 MW grid-connected solar PV power project in Gujarat State Electricity Corporation’s (GSECL) renewable energy solar park at Khavda (Stage 3). Furthermore,  the builder must commission the project within 12 months and should also handle the operation and maintenance for five years.

Bidder Qualifications

The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned solar photovoltaic-based grid-connected power plants with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been 10 MW or more. 

 

The working capital (current assets minus current liabilities) should be at least USD 15 million (INR 125 crore).  Furthermore, the bidder should have executed in the last ten years either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the process industry or the infrastructure development of a single work with a minimum value of  INR 150 crore.  

 

Additionally, the bidder should have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers.
