CtrlS Launches it's Third Data Center Facility in Hyderabad

CtrlS Datacenters, one of India's largest data center companies, has launched its third data center in the financial district of Gachibowli, Hyderabad. CtrlS Datacenters has invested over USD 60 million (INR 500 crore) for this facility, which has approximately 1,300 capacity racks. Sundararaman Ramamurthy, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bombay Stock Exchange, has inaugurated the data center facility.

The Hyderabad DC3 facility has a built-up area of 1.34 lakh square feet and a 13 MW IT load capacity. The data center is ready for AI workloads with advanced data center cooling technologies. Furthermore, the data center can access cloud services from Google, Oracle, Azure, and AWS via CtrlS Cloud Connect.

Hyderabad DC3 provides access to major Internet Exchange (IX) providers via the IX Connect portfolio. The facility is interconnected to all major data centers within Hyderabad with CtrlS Metro Connect and major CtrlS data centers across Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi via CtrlS NLD Connect.

 

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, stated, “Hyderabad is one of the major data center hubs in the country, with a growing demand from enterprises and cloud service providers.”


 

Currently, CtrlS Datacenters operates 3 facilities in Hyderabad. The company has a nationwide footprint of 250 MW of data center capacity in strategic tier-1 markets such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Noida, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. CtrlS Datacenters also operates Edge data center facilities in tier-2 markets such as Patna and Lucknow.

 


Upcoming Data Center Projects of CtrlS in India

CtrlS is set to significantly bolster its data center capabilities in India with upcoming projects to expand its infrastructure and services. 

 

Hyperscale Data Center Parks: CtrlS is constructing hyperscale data center parks to meet the needs of large-scale operations. These parks will be located in Navi Mumbai and Hyderabad, each sprawling over two million sq ft. These parks are envisioned to provide state-of-the-art services to enterprises that require extensive data management solutions.

 

Chennai Facility: Recognizing the strategic importance of Chennai in the data center landscape, CtrlS has commenced work on a one million sq ft Chennai data center campus. This campus is expected to enhance the company’s service offerings in the southern region of India.

 

Investment Plans: CtrlS has announced a substantial investment strategy to support these extensive expansion plans. This includes infusing 350 MW of capacity across new and existing hyperscale and edge data centers in India and some Southeast Asian markets.
