CtrlS Data Centers to Develop Data Center Campus in Kolkata

CtrlS Data Centers, one of the top 10 data center-providing companies in India, will invest around USD 263 million to develop their first greenfield data center campus in Kolkata. The data center campus is situated in the New Town area of Kolkata and will be constructed in over four phases with over 60 MW of IT load capacity.

Furthermore, the first data center building is slated to go live in the second quarter of FY-24 and will have 16 MW IT load capacity and a built-up area of over 90,000 sq. ft. This will be the first Rated-4 data center in eastern India. Recently, the company launched its third data center in Hyderabad.

Suresh Kumar Rathod, President of Colocation Business, CtrlS Datacenters, stated, “This metropolitan city ranks third in India by GDP after Mumbai and Delhi, and with West Bengal boasting the third-largest internet subscriber base after Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, the region is witnessing a rapid wave of digital transformation. Universal Success Enterprise Limited

Singapore-based real estate developer USEL (Universal Success Enterprise Limited) is set to establish a USD 240 million data center facility in Bengal Silicon Valley. Prasoon Mukherjee, the Chairman of USEL, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project at the Bengal Global Business Summit.

 

NTT Global Data Centers (NTT GDC)

NTT GDC has broken ground on its Kolkata data campus at the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub. The campus will house three data centers, with the first one spanning over 100,000 sq ft (9300 sq m). It will have a capacity of 9 MW of facility load and 6 MW of IT load. The facility is expected to be operational within 12 to 15 months. The entire campus will cover 7.5 acres and eventually host three buildings totaling 600,000 sq ft (55,740 sq m) of floor space. NTT plans to invest USD 241.5 million) in this campus over the next few years as part of its larger USD 2.5 billion investment plan in India.
