Apraava Energy Secures 250 MW Solar Power Project in Rajasthan From NHPC

Apraava Energy announced that it has received a 250 MW interstate transmission system-connected solar energy project in Rajasthan from the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC).

Project completion is anticipated within twenty-four months. It was secured via e-reverse auction at a walk-out tariff of INR 2.53 per kWh. This project is Apraava Energy’s first green field project secured via auction.

NHPC and Apraava Energy have entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that is set to expire 25 years after the date of scheduled commissioning. During the term of the PPA, Apraava Energy will provide oversight for the project's design, construction, and operation.

 

Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Managing Director of Apraava Energy, stated that they are excited to strengthen their solar energy with this project in Rajasthan. Currently, Apraava Energy has an operational portfolio of renewable energy projects located in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka.

 

Apraava has approximately 660 MW of renewable energy projects under construction throughout the country.
