ACCIONA Energía will develop a 412 MWp solar power plant located in the state of Rajasthan. The solar power project is expected to be commissioned by 2025. The solar farm will consist of approximately 750,000 photovoltaic modules, each of 545 Wp. It is expected to produce around 800 GWh of green electricity per year, sufficient to power 840,000 households.
In a press statement, ACCIONA Energía highlighted India as the world's fourth-largest power market in terms of installed capacity, with 42 percent sourced from non-fossil fuel sources. ACCIONA stated that India's target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 positions it as one of the most promising countries for renewable energy growth.
This new solar plant will be ACCIONA Energía’s largest project in India, complementing its existing portfolio of four wind farms and underscoring the company’s commitment to growth and geographic diversification.
