Masdar, based in the UAE, signed these agreements with the Jordanian Ministry of Energy during the COP 28 summit. In a press release, the company announced that Masdar's Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, and the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, His Excellency Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, signed the agreements.

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, the CEO of Masdar, stated that the company will leverage its expertise in clean energy projects and technologies to help Jordan achieve its decarbonization plans and unlock the nation's enormous potential. Regarding domestic and international green energy transitions, Oman has the capacity to emerge as a global powerhouse.

Masdar has already executed projects in Jordan, such as the 200 MW Baynouna Solar Park, the largest clean energy project in Jordan, in February of this year. Masdar aims to achieve a production volume of 1 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. This objective aligns with the United Arab Emirates' strategic plan to become a prominent center for green hydrogen and to secure 25 percent of the worldwide low-carbon hydrogen market by 2030.
