JERA and West HD to establishsolar alliance with a capacity of over 1 GW in Japan

JERA Co Inc, a Japanese utility, and West Holdings Corporation, or West HD, are teaming together to develop up to 1.1 GW of solar projects in Japan by 2026.

JERA and West HD have signed a heads of agreement (HOA) outlining their collaboration. The two corporations hope to finalize their agreement by the end of March. Until then, they'll keep talking about things like JERA's capital investment in West HD, power exchange between the partners, and collaborative solar-related business potential for third parties.

The current intention is for West HD to focus on developing solar projects for JERA in both new and former power plant locations around Japan.

The partners also offered a prediction for the business alliance's capacity development over time. Following table outlines the prediction
